A mediados de los años 70’s surgieron en el interior del país varios grupos Progresivos / Sinfónicos, algunos vinculados a la movida independiente liderada por MIA. En Mendoza el gran referente fue Altablanca, que tuvo una trayectoria de casi 8 años con distintas formaciones. Este gran rescate sonoro demuestra su alta calidad musical y la simbiosis con bandas como MIA, Redd, Irreal o Trigémino.

During the mid-seventies, many Progressive / Symphonic bands started to appear in several Argentine provinces; some of them linked to an independent musical movement led by the legendary MIA. In the province of Mendoza, the iconic representative of the local pack was Altablanca, a group which enjoyed a trajectory of almost eight years amidst different line-ups. This great sonic rescue offered here proves beyond the shadow of any doubt just how talented these lads were, besides their very high musical quality, and shows the symbiosis they shared with the likes of MIA, Redd, Irreal, and Trigémino.

It's like time stood still for 45 years... Don't expect anything revolutionary from this album. Instead, gratefully enjoy a stunningly authentic return to the roots of 70's rock progressivo in Italia. It's all here on this album - the wonderful long and winding melodies, the classically inspired chords, the masterful counterpoints, the lush arrangements... just everythjng that made RPI great.
