"Us" is one of my favorite "insider tips" on the Dutch prog scene. Once it was a 5-piece band, but life got in the way and reduced the lineup basically to Jos and Marijke Wernars. Which, in my opinion, is not a bad situation at all, because Jos Wernars turned out to be the perfect man with respect to writing, performing, and recording almost everything alone. This album preview proves it once again. It's epic symphonic prog of a most enchanting melodic kind, now on continuous play on my tablet.

Since Carsten Pieper writes so enthusiastically about this band, I had to give it a try, and really, I'm very enchanted! Well, I always can rely on Carsten's opinion... So this is a demo?! That's kind of an understatement. It's much better than lots of official releases cranked out by other bands nowadays, and sold for big bucks. This phenomenon reminds me of the superb "demo" issued back in 2003 by Jordsjø's compatriots Wobbler, containing a similar kind of retro prog in the vein of early 70's kraut.

Sigo la estela de este grupo y la de Håkon tras verle en acción a los coros , flauta y guitarra acústica con Wobbler en Peralta en el festival Minnuendö . Música para relajarse y disfrutar , con mucha base clásica y folk nórdico .

Someone here compared Jordsjø to Wobbler. Ha. Jordsjø is much better. I can't believe, that this is Their debut. "Ogion" makes me shiver 😉 Tip for Audiophiles - digital version is in hi-res quality (24/44,1)
